Synopsis:

Three years ago, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch. It's gotten her into a few scrapes. Her non-gifted mother has been as supportive as possible, consulting Sophie's estranged father--an elusive European warlock--only when necessary. But when Sophie attracts too much human attention for a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong, it's her dad who decides her punishment: exile to Hex Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches, faeries, and shapeshifters.

By the end of her first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tagalong ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated person and only vampire student on campus. Worse, Sophie soon learns that a mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her only friend is the number-one suspect.

As a series of blood-curdling mysteries starts to converge, Sophie prepares for the biggest threat of all: an ancient secret society determined to destroy all Prodigium, especially her.

Major spoilers!! I’m warning you beforehand: do not click ‘Show Spoiler’ unless you’re absolutely sure about it…got it? lol

Loved this book! It was actually really different than any other book I’ve read. Plus, it was very twisty and I love a good mystery! Just how I like my books :) Oh, and I forgot to mention that there was a lot of humor! I don’t know how that slipped my mind; I love a good laugh!!

This book was amazing!! I really liked it :) Especially with the modern fairy tale twist (that would be Snow White, if you care to know).

I didn’t even know about these books until I watched the show. I’ve watched the show since the first episode aired, and I love it!! So much that I had to read the books!

Synopsis:

I am a beast.

A beast. Not quite wolf or bear, gorilla or dog but a horrible new creature who walks upright--a creature with fangs and claws and hair springing from every pore. I am a monster.

You think I'm talking fairy tales? No way. The place is New York City. The time is now. It's no deformity, no disease. And I'll stay this way forever--ruined--unless I can break the spell.

Yes, the spell, the one the witch in my English class cast on me. Why did she turn me into a beast who hides by day and prowls by night? I'll tell you. I'll tell you how I used to be Kyle Kingsbury, the guy you wished you were, with money, perfect looks, and the perfect life. And then, I'll tell you how I became perfectly . . . beastly.

My rating: ★★★★★

This book was amazing!! It was a little cheesy at times, but still good :) It is a modern twist on the story Beauty and the Beast.

Kyle is that guy in high school all the girls want to have and all the guys want to be. He is gorgeous and he knows it. He’s rich too. But his attitude…well, he treats others like crap. And on one of the school dances his little attitude provokes a witch to turn him into a beast. He will have two years to find true love or else he will stay that way forever. All I’m saying, yes he was hot, but he sure as hell deserved it!
